Competition Promoter
Competitions are organised and promoted by Village Eye Magazine (Eye Magazines), in association with the named competition promoter or prize provider where applicable.
Eligibility
Competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 or over unless otherwise stated. No purchase is necessary to enter.
Entry Restrictions
Only one entry per person is permitted unless otherwise stated. Multiple entries from the same person may be declared void.
Closing Date
Entries must be received by midnight on the advertised closing date unless a different closing time is specified. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted.
Winner Selection
Winners will be selected at random from eligible entries or, where a competition includes a question, from entries containing the correct answer. Winners will normally be contacted shortly after the closing date using the details supplied.
The winner will be selected at random within seven (7) days of the competition closing date. The winner will be contacted using the contact details provided on their competition entry form and must be available and contactable through that method.
If the winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within seven (7) days of our initial notification, or is unable to accept the prize, Village Eye Magazine reserves the right to select an alternative winner from the remaining eligible entries.
Village Eye Magazine's decision regarding the selection of winners is final.
Unclaimed Prizes
If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days of notification, Village Eye Magazine reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Winner Announcements
Winners may be announced on Village Eye Magazine's website and social media channels, subject to applicable privacy requirements. Additional permission will be obtained where necessary.
Prizes
All prizes are subject to availability and any additional conditions published with the individual competition. Prizes may require advance booking and may be subject to age restrictions or other eligibility requirements.
Prize Alternatives
No cash alternative is available unless expressly stated. Prizes are non-transferable unless otherwise agreed by the promoter.
Sharing Competition Entries
By entering, you acknowledge that your entry details, including your name, email address, telephone number (where supplied), postcode and competition answers, will be shared with the named competition promoter or prize provider for the purposes of administering the competition, validating entries, contacting winners and arranging prizes.
Alternative Prizes and Offers
The named competition promoter or prize provider may also contact entrants directly regarding alternative prizes, special offers and other promotional opportunities. You will be given the opportunity to opt out of receiving further promotional communications at any time. Such contact remains subject to applicable data protection and electronic marketing laws.
Village Eye Communications
Village Eye Magazine may invite entrants to subscribe to its newsletter, future competitions and promotional information. Where marketing consent is required, this will be requested separately. Entrants may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
Employees and Associates
Competitions are not open to employees of Eye Magazines, the named competition promoter or prize provider, or their immediate families and associates, unless otherwise stated.
Changes or Cancellation
Village Eye Magazine reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel a competition where reasonably necessary, including circumstances beyond its control. Entrants will be informed of material changes where reasonably practicable.
Technical Issues
Village Eye Magazine cannot accept responsibility for entries that are incomplete, inaccurate or not received due to technical difficulties beyond its reasonable control.
